Originally from the Illawarra, Zayne’s is a Quality and Risk Officer at Sirv who is passionate about improving services through governance, continuous improvement, and person-centred practice. With a background spanning aged care, dementia and palliative care, disability support, quality auditing, and frontline leadership, they bring a unique blend of analytical thinking, compassion, and curiosity to everything they do.

Zayne began their career supporting older Australians, including people living with dementia and those receiving palliative and end-of-life care. These experiences fostered a deep appreciation for dignity, choice, and compassionate care. They later transitioned into disability services, where they developed extensive experience supporting people with complex needs and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve meaningful outcomes.

Now working in quality and risk, Zayne has experience in quality assurance, incident management, restrictive practices, policy development, auditing, NDIS compliance, and continuous improvement. They enjoy strengthening systems, solving complex problems, and helping organisations create services that are not only compliant, but genuinely safe, inclusive, and centred around the people they support. They’re known for asking “why?” until they uncover the root cause—and for believing that the best improvements come from listening to the people who use and deliver services.

Outside of their professional role, Zayne has a strong interest in psychology, trauma-informed practice, and psychotherapy, and is always looking for opportunities to expand their knowledge through further study and professional development. They are a lifelong learner who firmly believes there’s always another course to enrol in or another book waiting to be read.

Zayne is also a passionate advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community and social justice. They believe everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and empowered to live authentically, and they value creating inclusive environments where diversity is celebrated and every voice is heard.

When they’re not working or studying, you’ll probably find them hunting down the finest seafood, snorkelling at local beaches (or, as Zayne likes to call it, “playing mermaids”), exploring gothic aesthetics, playing video games, or reading about psychology and history!

Fun fact: Zayne can happily spend hours analysing an conspiracy theories or discussing the psychology behind horror films.
