About the role
SIRV is a dedicated disability support provider delivering high-quality, person-centred care across our Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes. We are currently seeking experienced and passionate Disability Support Workers to join our casual team to cover sleep shift positions across our homes located between Baldivis and Mandurah.
In this role, you will be providing overnight support to participants with complex support needs, including psychosocial disabilities and behaviours of concern. You will play a vital role in ensuring a safe, calm and supportive environment throughout the night, while implementing individual behaviour support plans in line with each participant's goals.
Key responsibilities
- Provide overnight sleep shift support within SIRV SIL homes
- Implement and adhere to individual behaviour support plans
- Support participants with complex behaviours and psychosocial disabilities
- Respond calmly and appropriately to participant needs during overnight hours
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation and incident reporting
- Promote participant safety, dignity, and independence at all times
- Communicate effectively with day shift staff and support coordinators
What we're looking for
- Demonstrated experience in the disability sector, particularly with complex behaviours and psychosocial disabilities
- Experience implementing behaviour support plans developed by a behaviour support practitioner
- Current First Aid & CPR certificate
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Australian driver's licence and reliable vehicle
- Strong communication, resilience, and problem-solving skills
