Here's What You'll Be Doing:

As a Support Specialist at SIRV, you'll play a crucial role in providing compassionate care to our participants. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide day-to-day support to individuals with disabilities in various settings to enhance their independence and achieve their goals.
  • Work within a 24-hour care model, requiring a combination of shifts: morning (starting at 6am), afternoon (starting at 2pm), and overnight (predominantly sleepovers).
  • Assist participants with personal activities such as hygiene support, use of manual handling equipment, medication administration, domestic assistance, and meals.
  • Follow specific Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSP).
  • Help participants engage in community, social, and recreational activities.

What We Require from You:

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • Class C Australian Driver's License.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • CPR.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
  • Reliable smart phone with data.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality care and support to our participants.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to work collaboratively with your colleagues.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with others.
