As a SIRV Managing Partner, my role is to lead by example and provide the best support care to people living with a disability, specifically, but not limited to, those requiring high care needs, 24/7 support.
My journey to this industry was through personal experience, family members that required such care in their lives. For over 30 years, l was involved in providing personal care to my family members around the clock, understanding firsthand what kind of care, support, and hours are required to deliver the most effective outcomes. From 2017 to 2022, I worked in the SDA (specialised disability accommodation) space, specifically in the ever challenging robust (High care) market of disability accommodation. My personal journey inspired me to work with the underrepresented and their families.
l naturally gravitate to positively impact, advocate for, and ensure the best care is structured, organised, and managed to deliver safe, holistic, inclusive, and informed support. I have worked as a support worker for over 3 years to ensure l gained first hand experience with a great deal of vulnerable people. I held the position of General Manager for my own NDIS registered SDA start up company for over 5 years, delivering innovative designs and homes while gaining vital experience and building relationships with reputable national service providers and allied healthcare professionals. At SIRV, I take all that l have obtained in the university of life and apply my experience to deliver industry leading service to the community.
As a leader in providing participant’s daily living needs under the NDIS, l have acquired a thorough understanding and possess natural empathy towards the needs of people with disabilities and what they face on a day to day basis. With over 6 years’ experience in the industry, my knowledge and network of support providers across the NDIS as well as the allied healthcare sector allow my participants to have the choice and control to select the best services available in the community.
I have a thorough understanding of disability accommodation, SIL servicers, NDIS plan review preparation, preparing people to access the NDIS, support coordination, auditing, and compliance.
My experience, especially in specialist disability accommodations (SDAs), has given me firsthand insight into the delivery of high care needs in the industry and the level of service required to effectively achieve bespoke outcomes in people’s lives, their families, and the wider community.
I am very passionate about my work in the industry, my passion is applying my expertise to effectively improve people’s lives, this includes not only the participants but their families and circle of support, creating a safe working environment for all staff.
Having witnessed some of my family members live with a disability has driven me to understand how unique everyone’s needs are and the challenges faced on a daily basis. Being part of the SIRV community has empowered me to impact the lives of clients on a larger scale, creating a team of support that focuses on client centric support to help people achieve their goals.
My goal is to form a team and service that shares my passion for delivering authentic, safe, and industry leading support to help drive and be an inspiration in the disability sector, breaking down barriers in the community.
We provide SIL (High care supports) in these areas and apply specialised, tailored, client centric and always dependable support to our people. Our team is focused on achieving and kicking goals together to ensure the lives of our people and their important people are positively impacted, benefiting the whole community, and leading the industry into a new standard of care.
