Job Title: Disability Support Worker
Location: Scenic Rim and Ipswich Region
Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing assistance and support to individuals with disabilities in the Scenic Rim and Ipswich Region. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping clients with daily living activities, providing emotional support, and promoting independence and community participation.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist clients with mobility and transportation needs
- Administer medication and monitor health conditions
- Assist with meal preparation and household tasks
- Understand and implement individualized care plans
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure the best possible care for clients
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certification in community services, disability support or related field preferred
- Demonstrated experience working with individuals with disabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to handle challenging behaviors and situations with empathy and professionalism
