Behaviour Support

At Sirv, our behaviour support is grounded in the belief that all behaviour has meaning. We work alongside individuals of all ages—children, adolescents, and adults—to understand the underlying needs, triggers, and patterns that shape their behaviour. Whether someone is struggling with emotional regulation, social interaction, or navigating daily challenges, we provide compassionate, evidence-based strategies that promote safety, dignity, and connection.

Our support extends to families, carers, and professionals, offering practical tools to reduce reactive cycles, build trusting relationships, and support lasting behavioural change. We tailor every plan to the individual, taking into account neurodiversity, trauma history, and personal goals. At Sirv, we’re committed to creating environments where behaviour is not judged, but understood—and where every person feels seen, supported, and empowered.

Our Approach

At Sirv, we believe that every behaviour is communication — a meaningful expression of need, emotion, or experience. Our behaviour support services are grounded in Attachment Theory, positive behaviour support, and trauma-aware, neuro-affirming practice. We walk beside the individuals we support — never ahead of them — creating space for dignity, trust and change to emerge.

Our work is relational and responsive. Whether supporting a young child navigating emotional outbursts, a teenager facing school refusal or justice involvement, or an adult with complex behavioural needs, our focus is always on understanding the “why” behind behaviour — not just addressing the “what.”

Sirv’s approach combines:

  • Evidence-based behavioural strategies
  • Practical counselling tools
  • Relational, capacity-building work with families, carers, and teams
  • A commitment to early, intentional, and ethical intervention

We specialise in working with individuals impacted by trauma, disrupted attachment, psychosocial disability, and neurodivergence, and we understand the complexity of support required across systems — from schools and homes to OOHC, youth justice, and remote communities.

Our goal is to co-create safety, build emotional insight, and restore connection, so that lasting outcomes are not only possible — they’re sustained. We tailor our support to each person’s environment, goals, and stage of life, and we pride ourselves on delivering care that uplifts rather than overwhelms.
