Meet Sal How

Hi, I’m Sal How – a behaviour specialist and coach dedicated to helping children and families build stronger connections. I believe behaviour is communication, and by understanding what children are trying to express, we can help them regulate, relate and thrive.

My approach is grounded in Attachment Theory – not just understanding behaviour through a trauma lens but deeply connecting with the core needs of children and young people. We don’t seek to "fix" behaviour; we seek to understand and meet needs in a way that builds safety and trust. I bring over 20 years of experience in education, behavioural support and community development to every family, school and community we support.

“It’s not about fixing behaviour – it’s about meeting needs.”

Every plan is built through respectful engagement with families, educators and support coordinators.

Sirv Behaviour Support – Where Connection Creates Change

Supporting Children and Families Through Connection, Compassion and Clarity

At Sirv, we believe every behaviour tells a story. Our Behaviour Support Services are grounded in Attachment Theory, offering a nurturing, relationship-first approach that helps children feel secure, understood and empowered. Led by Sal How, Managing Partner and Behaviour Specialist, we walk beside families and professionals to support positive change.

What We Offer

Behaviour Support for Children and Adolescents (0–17): Comprehensive, strengths-based intervention plans focused on reducing behaviours of concern and increasing communication, self-regulation, and engagement across home, school and community settings.
Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA): In-depth assessments to identify the purpose behind behaviours, helping to develop highly targeted support strategies that work in real-world environments.
Parent and Carer Coaching: One-on-one coaching to build confidence, provide practical tools and support parents to respond to behavioural needs with consistency, empathy and structure.
